DAVID RANDALL

I’ve been painting with watercolor ever since I attended a weekend painting workshop at Valley Art Center in Chagrin Falls, Ohio at age 13.  My first solo show was presented at MaryAnn Boysen Studio at 18. 

Painting as a teenager was simply "catching quiet".  For 35 years painting has been shadowed by a career in brand building and graphic design—but it's now become my creative focus.

Proud to be mostly self-taught, I find joy in trying new techniques in natural landscapes—both coastal and rural. More recently, I’ve begun experimenting with acrylics and have found the experience just as wonderful and freeing as watercolor.
